Tycoon Class can feel deceptively expensive when every Railroad space starts looking like a must-hit target. I learned that lesson after burning through a large dice reserve for a handful of weak results, even though the tournament board looked favorable. The better approach is to treat each Railroad attempt as a calculated push, not an automatic reason to raise the multiplier. Extra resources, including Monopoly Go Stickers, are useful for long-term progression, but they do not make a poor dice decision profitable. This event rewards patience, board awareness, and short bursts of commitment.

Railroad Value Depends on the Result

Landing on Railroad activates either a Shutdown or a Heist, and those outcomes do not carry equal tournament value. A blocked Shutdown gives only 2 base points, while a successful Shutdown gives 4. Heist results begin at 4 points for a small payout, rise to 6 for a large payout, reach 8 for the highest standard result, and climb to 12 during a Mega Heist. Your selected dice multiplier then applies to that base score. That makes a weak result at a high multiplier feel especially painful, while a top Heist can rapidly move you through the event track.

Build Your Multiplier Around the Board

The strongest Tycoon Class players do not leave the multiplier at its maximum throughout the session. Instead, they watch the number of spaces between their token and the next Railroad. Six or seven spaces can create a reasonable approach window, especially when nearby tiles offer useful rewards or a chance to collect more dice. Raise the multiplier only when the route looks favorable, then lower it immediately after the attempt. If the Railroad is more than ten spaces away, a modest setting protects your reserve while you cycle around the board.

Turn Mega Heist Into a Short Burst

Mega Heist changes the value of a Railroad landing, but it does not justify rolling without a plan. Save your larger pushes for a moment when the event boost is active and your token sits at a practical distance from Railroad. Take the attempt, check the result, and stop if the board position no longer supports another strong roll. This burst-style approach feels much better than chasing the same outcome for an hour. It also leaves dice available for daily tasks, quick wins, and the next tournament rotation.

Milestones Offer the Safer Target

Tycoon Class includes 40 milestone levels, with the full route requiring 36,000 points. The reward path mixes dice, Flags, sticker packs, and temporary boosts, so it provides a clear value check after every few rolls. Leaderboard placement is less predictable because another player can surge late in the event. I prefer reaching a milestone that contains a meaningful reward before considering a leaderboard push. If the next prize is small and the required score is steep, saving dice for another event is usually the stronger progression choice.

Think of the event as a conversion chain: dice become a Railroad landing, the landing becomes a Shutdown or Heist, and that result becomes tournament progress. When the conversion rate drops, stop forcing it. This method suits players protecting a limited dice supply, while aggressive leaderboard chasers may accept more variance during a Mega Heist window. The same discipline also helps when preparing for a cheap Monopoly Go Partners Event, since saved dice and planned resource timing can matter more than one extra Tycoon Class milestone.
